Atlas Air might become the latest Boeing 757 operator. B-2808 (c/n 24471) of China Cargo Airlines was re-rgd N588GT April 20th; this registration was used by Atlas Air before. The aircraft was ferried from Shanghai to Wilmington Air Park via Anchorage April 28th under its new registration.

Taban Air of Iran has leased a Boeing 757-200 from Tajik Air; the aircraft, EY-752 (c/n 27599) was ferried from Dushanbe to Mashhad as TJK3181 March 19th, and entered service the following day.

Icelandair will be returning 2 Boeing 757-200s this fall; TF-FIY (c/n 26244) and TF-FIZ (c/n 30052) will both be converted to freighter, and start a second career. Both aircraft will be replaced by 2 Boeing 767-300s in 2016.

Icelandair, as posted earlier, is adding 2 more 757-200s. Now it is known which aircraft will join the fleet; c/n 26248 and c/n 26254, both coming from I-Fly of Russia, are currently at Keflavik. After maintenance, repaint and interior modifications, both aircraft will enter service.
