2010 news

22/07/2010: Flylal Charters has been renamed Small Planet Airlines; all aircraft, which includes 2 757-200s, will get a new colors;

08/04/2010: Arrow Air/Arrow Cargo has ceased operations on June 30, 2010;

08/04/2010: Jazz will operate at least 6 Boeing 757-200s this fall on behalf of Thomas Cook Airlines. Jazz is basically taking over operations from Skyservice Airlines (see news below); the flights are operated through Sunquest Vacations, Thomas Cook’s tour operator; destinations will include the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.

31/03/2010: Skyservice Airlines went into receivership and suspended all operations March 31, 2010;

14/02/2010: Jet2 has leased another Boeing 757; the aircraft, formerly with ATA Airlines as N517TZ, was ferried from Victorville to Lasham; it has been re-registered as G-LSAK;

03/01/2010: Continental Airlines has leased another 4 Boeing 757-300s; all aircraft were previously operated by ATA Airlines; the complete  Boeing 757-300 fleet will also be equipped with blended winglets;

03/01/2010: Condor has started installing blended winglets on the Boeing 757-300 fleet; installing is being done by Finnair at their Helsinki base.
