I have an earlier date than 3 August 1988 for a sighting in new colours, namely ?? August 1987 at London Heathrow. My last date for a report in the previous scheme isclose to yours. It is 23 June 1986 at Stockholm Arlanda.
On 15 July 2000 this aircraft entered the British Airways Paint Shop at London Heathrow. On the following day it was rolled out with all titles, insignia and its tail painted out.
The 18 January 2001 ferry flight continued Bangor – Mobile Downtown where it was delivered to ST Mobile Aerospace for freighter conversion.
On 1 November 2001 it was ferried Mobile Downtown – Goose Bay – East Midlands. Arriving there on 2 November it was parked. It was already in the full DHL Red livery.
My information that the flight on 8 November 2001 was a test flight that returned to East Midlands where the aircraft was again parked.
On 2 March it was ferried East Midlands – Southend (DHK7812) for pre-service maintenance at Heavylift Engineering. On the following day it was ferried back to East Midlands (DLK7870) for further maintenance at British Midland Engineering.
On 5 November 2010 this aircraft was reported at Madrid Barajas in the red DHL livery.
As at end 31 December 2012 this aircraft had accumulated 37,542 airframe hours. By end 31 December 2013 this figure had increased by 871 hours to 38,413 hours.
