co-pilot was making a visual approach to RWY 26R at Denver; although the
approach was stable from 500 ft, the landing flare was initiated late, and
the aircraft touched down firmly; it bounched slightly and assumed a nose
high attitude; when it touched down again, the tail scraped the runway
(damaged fuselage and rear pressure bulkhead). |
